Midland Shared Spaces, or MSS, is a nonprofit center in the former Hillcrest School on North A Street. It opened in 2014 and gives a dozen Midland County nonprofits affordable office space and shared services under one roof.

Tenants include Keep Midland Beautiful, Junior Achievement, Midland Festival Ballet and the Recording Library of West Texas. The public can visit The Gallery at MSS, and anyone can book meeting rooms, with lower rates for nonprofits.
