    Hillcrest School is a private, nonprofit K-12 school on North A Street for students with learning differences, including dyslexia and ADHD. Educator Betty Starnes founded it in 1993.

    Families come for small classes and low student-to-staff ratios, with multi-sensory teaching, an interdisciplinary curriculum and organizational strategies. After school basketball, volleyball and cheer are open to all students.
